Dear Volunteer Involving Organisation

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Volunteering Zone, which is an on-line method of registering volunteer roles across more than one local authority area to appear on the Volunteer Scotland website (www.volunteerscotland.org.uk).  In other words, you can now post your volunteering opportunities directly online and keep them up-to-date yourself. 
 
The new online service will give you a number of benefits including:

• secure online access to your opportunities 24/7

• keeping your information consistent across the country

• assign access to branches to use your volunteer role templates and register them locally

• intelligence about how many people are looking at your volunteering opportunities across the country

We have two information sessions about this new service and you are invited to attend one of them.  The information sessions will give an overview of how the Volunteering Zone works and  how it will benefit your organisation.  The sessions will take place in the following dates:

• Friday 24th May 2013, 10.00am - 12.30pm

• Thursday 20th June 2013, 10.00am - 12.30pm

All the sessions are FREE and will take place at VDS in Stirling (click here for directions).  Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

It is recommended that the main person responsible for volunteer recruitment attends the session and if the organisation has a branch structure, then a member of staff from one of the branches also attends.

If you are based in England, please give us a call and we will come up with an alternative arrangement to introducing you to the Volunteering Zone.
